The guy above is correct, In my experience with mods, they were entirely sperate games that uses the same files that BF2 does, such as 'battle feild sand box'. It works more like an expansion pack.Battlefield 2 Mods?
EA fully supports mods. Thats why they made a bf2 map editor.
