Most mods have a forum that answer questions like this. Without knowing what the mod is, I can't help.
If the mod comes as an .exe file then it should be self-installing.
If it comes as a bunch of files, then it goes in the mods folder.
Either way you probably need to have patched BF2 to the latest version (currently 1.41) before installing the mod.How do i download mods for battlefield 2?
