So, it's obvious that in BF3 you have certain weapons depending on what side you are. Say if you are US you have SVD, and if you're Russians you have MK11 Mod 0... Anyway, there is this one rifle called SKS, and you have it on both sides! I somewhere read when you reach a certain rank, that you can use ALL weapons, without depending which side you're on. Yes. After you unlock the last 'new' weapon in a class your next unlock is the starter weapon but for the opposite side. However you are always restricted to use it in the class in question. Best FPS (First-Person Shooter) for PC?
So Im looking for the Best FPS for the PC. Iv been playing Battlefield 2, GRAW, Americas Army, and one or two others for a long, long time, and I feel like theres less and less players online each day.
I'm looking for a good all around game, single player and Multi-, able to load in Mods (Like Battlefield 2), must have a Map maker (or something I can download to make maps with), and just all around fun.
I still plan on playing the games I listed above as I still think there awesome games (Battlefield is my Favorite because of all the mods I have for it)

Tactical Battlefield 1942?
are there any clans that actually play it like it was meant to be played? with ventrilo and tactical movements? like you know, if your in a tank your just going to get bombed by a airplane. But if you travel in a tank convoy you could shoot down the plane with the 3 or 4 50 cals no problem. It just piss's me off because the game could be so much more fun than people make it. Id like to play a 20 v 20 with tactics, like have squads of 5 with a engineer,medic,assault,anti tank, sniper in each. And have a commander issue orders to secure / defend flags ect... rather than the run, gun, die. style that people play. Battlefield 1942: need help with creating a map?
so i have a map =D that i made, but i need help for some reason the mod won't work when i try launching it/testing it
so i'm not sure if what i've done with it is correct or not =[
let me exsplain the map so far, and what i still want done to it.
it's a water map, purely naval battle
so far i have all the ships in the right starting spots, pointed in the right direction, and i have 1 spawn point set up for each side.
i also have a test plane on the carrier just to test out the plane spawning of the map.
what i still need to do:
add more spawn points, 1 for each ship
add more planes
tweak the ships so that once they are destroyed they don't respawn
make the objective of the match to be to destroy all the enimys ships
add weapons to the ships (i'm not sure if they come with them in the game or i have to manually add them, since they don't have them already attacked in the mod? )
side notes:
i'd like the starting tickets to be 200+
i want the lifeboats to be respawnable (the ones attached to the ships)(this i think i've figured out for myself, im just saving it for last since it seems easy to do ^.^; )
there are no control points, i want the game to be more, destroy the enimy as opose to capture control points

Battlefield 2 Project Reality Problem!!?
I have downloaded the pr mod for bf2 and have been playing with no problems until i was in al barash and i was inside a vehicle i decided to try a different server so i pressed the esc key and the program took a brief pass then the blue screen of death showed up and suddenly rebooted the computer. So i waited for the computer to start back up when it did it started rebooting over and over. So i had to shut it off and take out my ram card and put it back in. Apparently it had worked, right when i got back on my acount i quickly uninstalled the PR mod. The mod is actualy quite fun and i would really like to get back on it and play again, but i dont want my comp. to get corrupt in any way. It might have been a one-time glitch. As a gamer I have experienced similar problems and with BF2 even (it is a system resource hog and a helluva buggy game to begin with), so the first thing I'd suggest is to see if it happens again, if it doesn't then you move on, if it does then you probably aren't the only one who experienced this issue so I would search online, more specificly the BF2 game forums.
If you got a BSod, then quite possibly the chipset (of your mobo) and the video card drivers might have something to do with it too but that is a bit of a stretch, I would much rather seek the issue online to see who else reported the problem and what similarities your system and theirs have (hardware and software wise). Let's say you and Joe Shmoe got entirely different systems except for the video card, find out what version of drivers he is using, if it is the same, then try up or even downgrading yours to see if there is a difference.
If you really enjoy that mod and want to continue playing it then you will have to do a bit of research and troubleshooting on your own. I hope the example I have given you above will lead you in the right troubleshooting direction if you were not able to find a certain answer to your issue.

When I got to my bfhq during/after a battle (press the esc key to go to menu), my score and awards that I recieved during that round are gone. I did the exact same thing at my friends house (go to menu

Here's what you'll need Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2 Special Forces mod, Battlefield 2 editor, and WinRar.
After you have that all installed just run the battlefield 2 editor and select create new mod (Name it whatever you like). After you name it go to your Battlefield 2 main directory (Right click the Battlefield 2 shortcut icon, click properties, then click find target..) Go into the (mods/bf2) folder select all, copy, and head back to the mods folder go into the mod you created using Battlefield 2 editor and paste, click yes to overwrite everything.
Now let's create a shortcut so we can run our mod from the desktop if you have the Battlefield 2 Special Forces icon on your desktop just copy that and paste. Right click the one you just copied and rename it, after you rename it right click again and click on properties. Look at the target text line find (+modPath mods/xpak) rename (xpak) to (the name you used in the Battlefield 2 Editor).
Now we need to make 2 new folder's on the desktop. Rename 1 to (Objects_client) and rename the other to (Objects_server). Now you need to make 1 (new folder) inside the (Objects_client) and (Objects_server) folder's name the folder's (xpak_vehicles). Now Go to your (Battlefield 2 directory) go into (mods/Xpack). Open (Objects_client.rar) with WinRar. In (Objects_client.rar) go into (Vehicles/xpak_vehicles) click on (xpak_apache) drag it to (desktop/Objects_client/xpak_vehicles). Same for Objects_server, open (Objects_server.rar) go into (Vehicles/xpak_vehicles) click on (xpak_apache) drag it to (desktop/Objects_server/xpak_vehicles).
Now go into (desktop/Objects_server/xpak_vehicles/xp鈥?right click on (xpak_apache tweakfile) go to properties uncheck (read only) click (apply) then (Ok). Now right click (xpak_apache tweakfile) again and click (open with..) choose notepad. Now a notepad should open with a bunch of codes don't worry we only need to change 2 thing's in here. On the keyboard press and hold (ctrl+F) and a box should appear that say's find. Now I need you to copy this whole line

Ok final step open Battlefield 2 directory, and go into (mods/YOURMOD) the mod you made with Battlefield 2 editor.
Then open (Objects_client.rar) go into (Vehicles). Go to your desktop and open the (Objects_client) folder and in that folder drag (xpak_vehicles) to the (Objects_client.rar) click (OK). Wait a moment for it to load then close the (Objects_client.rar) and do the same with (Objects_server.rar) open it go to desktop open the (Objects_server) folder and drag (xpak_vehicles) to (Objects_server.rar) and click (OK). Now your finished with adding the XPack Apache to the Battlefield 2 game now all you need to do is add the Apache to the map's. Witch I learned how to do at this site http://bf2.e-plaza.de/index.htm using the Battlefield 2 editor. Now if you need help adding the Apache to your map just reply back. Here's what you'll need Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2 Special Forces mod, Battlefield 2 editor, and WinRar.
After you have that all installed just run the battlefield 2 editor and select create new mod (Name it whatever you like). After you name it go to your Battlefield 2 main directory (Right click the Battlefield 2 shortcut icon, click properties, then click find target..) Go into the (mods/bf2) folder select all, copy, and head back to the mods folder go into the mod you created using Battlefield 2 editor and paste, click yes to overwrite everything.
Now let's create a shortcut so we can run our mod from the desktop if you have the Battlefield 2 Special Forces icon on your desktop just copy that and paste. Right click the one you just copied and rename it, after you rename it right click again and click on properties. Look at the target text line find (+modPath mods/xpak) rename (xpak) to (the name you used in the Battlefield 2 Editor).
Now we need to make 2 new folder's on the desktop. Rename 1 to (Objects_client) and rename the other to (Objects_server). Now you need to make 1 (new folder) inside the (Objects_client) and (Objects_server) folder's name the folder's (xpak_vehicles). Now Go to your (Battlefield 2 directory) go into (mods/Xpack). Open (Objects_client.rar) with WinRar. In (Objects_client.rar) go into (Vehicles/xpak_vehicles) click on (xpak_apache) drag it to (desktop/Objects_client/xpak_vehicles). Same for Objects_server, open (Objects_server.rar) go into (Vehicles/xpak_vehicles) click on (xpak_apache) drag it to (desktop/Objects_server/xpak_vehicles).
Now go into (desktop/Objects_server/xpak_vehicles/xp鈥?right click on (xpak_apache tweakfile) go to properties uncheck (read only) click (apply) then (Ok). Now right click (xpak_apache tweakfile) again and click (open with..) choose notepad. Now a notepad should open with a bunch of codes don't worry we only need to change 2 thing's in here. On the keyboard press and hold (ctrl+F) and a box should appear that say's find. Now I need you to copy this whole line
ObjectTemplate.vehicleHud.vehicleIcon Ingame\Vehicles\Icons\HUD\VehicleIcons\V鈥?br>
and paste it where it say's (find what) click on (find next) and it should highlight the text inside the notepad. Now the highlighted text in the note pad overwrite that with this
ObjectTemplate.vehicleHud.vehicleIcon Ingame\Vehicles\Icons\Hud\VehicleIcons\c鈥?br>
Go back to the find box and erase the text in (find what) and replace it with this
ObjectTemplate.weaponHud.selectIcon Ingame\Weapons\Icons\Hud\Selection\apach鈥?br>
Click on (find next) and it should highlight the text in the notepad. Now Replace the highlighted text with this
ObjectTemplate.weaponHud.selectIcon Ingame\Weapons\Icons\Hud\Selection\Cobra鈥?br>
That's it now SAVE click (file) at top right corner of screen or press (ctrl+S) on the keyboard to SAVE. Close the notepad and on to the final step.
Ok final step open Battlefield 2 directory, and go into (mods/YOURMOD) the mod you made with Battlefield 2 editor.
Then open (Objects_client.rar) go into (Vehicles). Go to your desktop and open the (Objects_client) folder and in that folder drag (xpak_vehicles) to the (Objects_client.rar) click (OK). Wait a moment for it to load then close the (Objects_client.rar) and do the same with (Objects_server.rar) open it go to desktop open the (Objects_server) folder and drag (xpak_vehicles) to (Objects_server.rar) and click (OK). Now your finished with adding the XPack Apache to the Battlefield 2 game now all you need to do is add the Apache to the map's. Witch I learned how to do at this site http://bf2.e-plaza.de/index.htm using the Battlefield 2 editor. Now if you need help adding the Apache to your map just reply back. Forgotten hope 2 or battlefield 1942 or any other ww2 fps?
I want a good ww2 fps that is tactical has a bot mode people play it and has like a class system so that you can play how you want to eg medic to heal yourself and others or an engineer so you can repair stuff.

Iv ran the BF2 install disks every way i can think of..i got the disks prolly around a year and a half ago..I start up the install and the first notice it gives me is (This game has only been tested on WinXp32)..so i continue to install it gets about 30 seconds in and it gets stuck on "bf2/mods/bf2/Common_Client.zip"..then it gives me the error Failed to install bf2 deluxe edition..start again from the begining...ANY AND ALL HELP IS HIGHLY APPRECIATEDMy battlefield wont install on vista...PLEASE HELP!!@#!!@!!@$#?

C&C Tiberium Wars, Red Alert 3, and Battlefield 2142 Custom Maps?
I own all three games and I just want to know how can I obtain custom maps for all three? Is there a link on the EA site that I need to click or a third party site I need to go to?
I love the Command and Conquer series, but as I am playing Tiberium Wars and Red Alert 3, sometimes I feel like playing in a little sand box. The maps are so small. What I am really looking for are big maps. One of the most enjoyable things in playing Command and Conquer type games is the map size. I remember those Red Alert 2 maps on the original Playstation 1 were pretty dang big and it was great playing that back then. Oh those wonderful countless memories wasting so much time on it. HAHAHA!
Also for the Battlefield 2142 is there anyway that I can play the multiplayer maps for singleplayer as well? One thing I don't like about EA's setup for the game is that in order for your unlockables to be "unlocked" you need to be connected to the internet, which sometimes I don't have the luxury of having. Playing single player with stock weapons and equipment sucks. I heard that there was a mod to unlock all of the weapons, but I'm afraid to seek it out because I didn't know until after I bought and installed the game, that the game was sooooooooooo buggy. I just wanted to confirm that if I install this mod to play the unlockable contents on single player, will it interfere with my multiplayer. I've had problems with my multiplayer crapping out on me before in BF2142.

I'm getting a hp g7-1281nr for christmas (don't bother looking for its discontinued) and i wanted to know if it battlefield 3 will run on it
it has
-4gb ram (I might upgrade to 8gb if required)
-500gb hard drive
-intel dual core processor (2.1ghz if im correct)
-intel hd graphics (up to 1969mb when sharing memory)
if not will it run
-mw3
-mw2
-mw1
-Garry's mod
-Just cause 2
-counter strike
I under stand that Integrated graphics are horrible but im not shure a bout this computer saying it has 2gb of it
also are there any graphics cards on par with this one so i can check out game plays and frame ratesWill battlefield 3 run on 1969mb of intel hd graphics?
No, or if it does it'll run on the absolute minimum settings with such a poor framerate that it'll be virtually unplayable, BF3 needs a powerful dedicated graphics card. Those graphics aren't meant for gaming. However, there's plenty of good older 3D games that it will run well.
Edit: BF3 is far more demanding than MW2. Garry's Mod and Counter Strike should hopefully be playable, Just Cause 2 probably won't. COD4 might be. MW3 isn't much more demanding than MW2.Will battlefield 3 run on 1969mb of intel hd graphics?

From what I've seen, it's a Pentium D - not very high-powered. At bestm it might run the 1st MW game. I have a Core 2 Duo and wan;t able to run MW until I got an HD4550 (which is not a great card).
For more specific ideas of what performance you can expect, try the notebookcheck site.

Battlefield 2142 deluxe CD key question?
SO... I have bought like 5 used copies of battlefield games before, and I thought 2142 would be no different. I made sure it had have the physical game DVD, and the CD key. Then I got it loaded on my computer, and tried to log in, but I got an error message stating that the CD key has already been used. I guess each CD Key gets tied to only ONE account, and that only ONE CD key works on any given disk.
MY QUESTION: Is there any way I can get The CD key transferred over to my current EA account?
Does anyone think that it is possible to go through EA, (I don't want to know if its gonna take awhile, I know EA only helps BF3 players. $$$) or If there is any easier way. I am ALL EARS...
also If there is some sort of a mod that uses the game information, but doesn't have to log on to big bro's @_@ site I would greatly appreciate a link.

Is battlefield 3 going to be ruined by all of the COD fags that are going to be playing it?
Bad Company 2 was the greatest game I've ever played because it was realistic, had no spawn killing, no Cod perks, and the guns actually took skill to use, not just point and shoot like call of duty. Anyway, I was looking around on you tube and saw a couple game play videos and then I looked down at the comments and saw how many Cod kids that said they were going to get it. I hate call of duty for that same reason. All it is are a bunch of 9 year old kids who sound like little girls and TONS of hackers. When ever I play Battlefield I here older people like 18 and above and I've never even seen a hacker before in that game.
I know that I sound like I'm bitching alot, but I usually hate video games because I'm so picky and Battlefield is one of the very few games I like and I don't want to see it get ruined.

Problems with Battlefield 2.?
I was having a problem being able to connect to the servers so I downloaded a newer version. I also bought the Special Forces expansion pack, and had that installed. Now when I try and play I get a message that says.. mods/bf2/shaders.lightning. fx not found. Do check your working directory and sync your shaders folder before calling your local rendering programmer. What the heck does this mean? Are Battlefield 2 and Project Reality fun to play with friends?
Well the thing is, me and my friend are PS3 gamers, but recently got gaming PC's and Steam. Anyhoo, I bought Battlefield 2 for 15 bucks, and 2 hours later up goes a sale reducing battlefield 2's price to 3 bucks %26gt;:( as angry as I was wasting all that money, I thought "3 bucks isnt such a bad deal" and since my friend knew no great PC games, I gifted him BF2 via steam :)

When I install the Battlefield 2142 1.5 Patch does it install a mod?
I just bought the game and when I first tried to go on multiplayer it told I had to patch up the game. So I installed the latest patch (full so I wouldn't have to bother with everything else separately) but when I did and tried going on multiplayer again it told me that "Only unmoddified verisions of the game could be played on the server" or something like that. Simply saying that the patch must've installed a mod. I downloaded it straight from the BF site so it should be exactly what I need. Anybody know what's wrong?When I install the Battlefield 2142 1.5 Patch does it install a mod?
You might have installed the wrong patch. There is a 1.50 full patch and a 1.50 incremental.
The 1.50 incremental wont work, unless maybe you have the deluxe version of 2142. The 1.50 full patch doesn't always work anyway as there is something wrong with it!
The best thing to do would be to uninstall the game and install in this order:
Skip to step 2 if you have never installed 2142.

As far as I know there are no mods for Battlefield Bad Company 2 on the PC yet, and there will never be mods for it on the consoles due to the limitations of the consoles operating system (unless the mod is made by EA/DICE).

Why wont my battlefield 2 account rank up??!!! PLZ HELP ME?
i play battlefield 2 alot, i have the spec ops mod downloaded and patch 1.41 and 1.50 downloaded but ever since i created my account i cannt get my bfhq to rank up, it says i have no playing time, kills, deaths, or anything, even though on the multiplayer severs i have been ranked up to staff sargent, gotten over 20 medals- including the basic sniper, purple heart, and many others, it still says i have no medals or anything, and it always says i have my guy logged in, even when he is logged out, i also keep getting kicked out of servers because punkbuster says i have :inadaquate o/s privlages - i think this has something to do with me not being able to rank up ----- plz help me i would appereciate any help - and if you play my names BLAYDZ and i play the mykonos server with wake island alotWhy wont my battlefield 2 account rank up??!!! Check the version number on the login screen, if it is not 1.5.3153-802.0 (Version 1.50) then you have the wrong patches installed.

Sorry bro, you're going to want to upgrade to a desktop. You're going to get sub-par framerates with anything less than a 580m variant graphics card on a laptop, plus when it heats up (Quite quickly I might add) the framerate will drop and cause lag.
Your best bet would be to buy a desktop PC.
Also, try to lower the resolution to something like 800x600 or 1024x768 and set the graphics settings to low.
Another thing you can to is lower the graphics settings as much as possible, that will improve frame rates, and might actually make the game playable.

I don't need a tutorial or a guide. I just need somewhere to practice my helicopter flying and polish up my moves... alone. Can anyone give me any tips on how to find empty servers? Battlefield 2142? Worth Getting When BF2 Is In My HD?
I really enjoy Battlefield 2. (Hate how they skimped on singplayer though) Online is legendary however. Very fun and exciting. However, Battlefield 2142 looks promising. Some people find it a great addition, while others degrade it as a "mod". Some sites ive visited have praised it, and just like the consumers, others havent marked it so high.
I don't find anything wrong with Battlefield 2, but Battlefield 2142 seems to have way more unlocks. Is it worth getting Battlefield 2142?

Is the Project Reality mod for BF2 fun to play?
When I play first person shooters I like to be tactical, stick with my teammates, and communicate. I have heard of a mod called Project Reality for Battlefield 2 that is supposed to be very realistic. What I'm wondering is whether anybody who read this liked it. The main problem is that I need a graphics card for my computer (I'm normally a console gamer) to be able to play it and need to know if it is worth it.Is the Project Reality mod for BF2 fun to play?
There should be plenty of gameplay videos on youtube, but it's the same as BF2 with a limited HUD and more damage from weapons and vehicles. I don't think the teamwork is any different from regular BF2, it's down to the players to play as a team, and they usually don't.

Slow FPS With Battlefield 2?
I currently own a Compaq Persario SR2150NX with a Celereon D Processor And 1 GB Of RAM. My video card is not a problem which is a nVidia GeForce 8400 GS, but ive seem to be experiencing 20-45 FPS on big maps such as Dragon Valley or Desert Conflict mods El Alamein map. when i play city maps such as Karkand or Jalabalad, i get 45-60 FPS. Ive also check a program that tells me that if i can run Battlefield 2 and i got a excelent response. Ive even tried closing processes and lowering its graphics, but its no use. I really dont know what to do. anyone willing to help please?Slow FPS With Battlefield 2?

Battlefield Bad Company 2 Online Multiplayer?
I am deciding whether or not to buy battlefield bad company 2 and I would mainly play for the online multiplayer (I never got the first one) but my main question is how does it relate to MW2 online?
I am getting sooooo sick of campers and noobs being good at that game. People that suck can use stupid strategies to kill people that are actually good with a gun. I win most 1v1 gun battles but I cannot stand it when someone just camps especially with claymores. Also all the mods and glitching that they have in that game. 10th prestige noobs that glitched there, disconnecting from the host, and all that other stupid stuff that happens online.
I know that you cannot stop the disconnecting and lag thing too much from game to game as it is usually not the developers fault. I want to know from people who have or have tried both games, are there stupid strategies that you can do like in MW2? Is the camping as bad, and I hate it when bad people are good like that. Its very different, and camping really isn't a issue as campers are very easy to get rid of in BC2. If you have a group haing out in a building shooting you as you enter the doors you simply use a nade launcher and blow a hole in the wall and get the drop on them. Or use a mortar strike and collapse the building on them. Or grab a tank and just level that entire area along with them. Another neat feature is spotting, you can spot enemies and everybody on your team will then see them on there map and radar as well as a little orange arrow pointing them out on screen. Its hard to camp when everybody knows exactly where you are.
I havn't seen any modding or hacking yet either. None of that crap from MW2 with hyper speed and all that stuff. Noobs will be okay at the game but not great, they tend to stand out to much. Just sprinting out in the open where you can drop them like its nothing. I have disconnected once in my 20ish hours so far and the lag has never been a issue. I put my cross hairs on a enemy and they take a hit. Its very well done.
The biggest thing is BC2 are vehicles. If you somehow get put on a team that just doesn't know what to do with them they can seem unfair. However thats very rare, usually people know to break out the c4 or mines when your in a tank heavy level. Or switch to engineers and mortar snipers when the base is getting hammered by a tank or heli. As far as stupid tactics....nube toobs and nade spam are not all that effective in BC2 so thats not a issue. There are alot of snipers but most tend to suck and in all fairness its not a bid deal with the size of the maps either.
Comparisons, MW 2 is faster then BC2 and has way smaller maps. In BC you have huge maps and with that people are more spread out. You are given squads, a gruop of up to 4 people on your team you belong to. Its optional but recomended. You can spawn on anybody in your sqaud thats alive to help you stay together and push the assualt when taking points or setting bombs. You can also set sqaud attack and defend orders. Plus anything you do with a squad gets you more exp. you get 50 points for a standard kill, however you get 80 for reviving a squad member...so working together has rewards. Thus this game has more team work then MW because people want to work together to get more points.
its also class based, but there all well balanced. Assualt has Assualt Rifles, under barral launchers like gernade and smoke gernades. They also drop ammo kits to resuply people.
Engineer has smgs and rocket launchers to take out vehicles. They can also repair vehicles aswell as drop mines.
Recon, or snipers have sniper rifles, c4 and mortar strikes. Plus motion sensor gernades which show anybody on your squad the location of enimes around where you tossed it. Very helpful, they also have better camo then MW 2. You really can disapear for the most part.
Medics have revives and can drop healing kits. But can't heal themselfs, and they have light machine guns with huge clips and great accuracy. But when your moving your accuracy goes to hell.
There are also all kit guns like shotguns and various other machine guns that everybody can use. Pistols also fall in this catagory.
Game is great fun and if MW2 is pissing you off a very good alternative. I have not gone back to MW since I got BC2. Its that damn good, just know the single player is weak. I know you said your mostly mutli so it wont matter. But really the single player in this game is pretty poor, its a fun distraction for awhile. But you won't play it more then once.
There is relatively no camping at all because of the size of the maps unless your defending on rush in which you need to camp at your base, I like the MP of BC2 more than MW2 now because of the lack of glitches so far in BC2 and the more variety you have in BC2 in terms of classes and vehicles..Battlefield Bad Company 2 Online Multiplayer?

You can spawn on anybody in your sqaud thats alive to help you stay together and push the assualt when taking points or setting bombs. You can also set sqaud attack and defend orders. Plus anything you do with a squad gets you more exp. you get 50 points for a standard kill, however you get 80 for reviving a squad member...so working together has rewards. Thus this game has more team work then MW because people want to work together to get more points.
its also class based, but there all well balanced. Assualt has Assualt Rifles, under barral launchers like gernade and smoke gernades. They also drop ammo kits to resuply people.
Engineer has smgs and rocket launchers to take out vehicles. They can also repair vehicles aswell as drop mines.
Recon, or snipers have sniper rifles, c4 and mortar strikes. Plus motion sensor gernades which show anybody on your squad the location of enimes around where you tossed it. Very helpful, they also have better camo then MW 2. You really can disapear for the most part.
Medics have revives and can drop healing kits. But can't heal themselfs, and they have light machine guns with huge clips and great accuracy. But when your moving your accuracy goes to hell.
There are also all kit guns like shotguns and various other machine guns that everybody can use. Pistols also fall in this catagory.
Game is great fun and if MW2 is pissing you off a very good alternative. I have not gone back to MW since I got BC2. Its that damn good, just know the single player is weak. I know you said your mostly mutli so it wont matter. But really the single player in this game is pretty poor, its a fun distraction for awhile. But you won't play it more then once.
There is relatively no camping at all because of the size of the maps unless your defending on rush in which you need to camp at your base, I like the MP of BC2 more than MW2 now because of the lack of glitches so far in BC2 and the more variety you have in BC2 in terms of classes and vehicles..Battlefield Bad Company 2 Online Multiplayer?

Battlefield vietnam insert disc error?
I know this is a really old game but i hope somebody can help. i've googled the problem and can't come up with an answer....
when i launch bfv everything works fine (legal copy, no mods, no no-cd crack....all stock) i can connect to a server and play as long as i want. the problem comes up after i leave one server and try to connect to a different one. every time i get a message saying please insert one of the battlefield vietnam discs. if i close bfv completely and restart it it works fine for the first time connecting to a server....then the same problem once i try a new server.
the disc is in the drive and i cant figure it out because if it's not in there the game will not even start. i have tried putting the disc in both dvd drives and it still happens, so i dont think its the drives. any ideas whats causing this and how to fix it?
also sometimes when i browse for servers, the game freezes for about 15-20 seconds. this doesn't happen all the time but it may be related so thought i'd mention it.

I had that problem. It is because you have the wrong disk in the drive. If you have the BF 1942 Complete Collection you need to put disk 5 in. If you only have the Vietnam then put disk 1 in. I've had this happen with an nforce motherboard, if you have an nforces motherboard updating chipset drivers should fix it, or, go into Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device manager and click on IDE ATA/ATAPI CONTROLLER, most likely under here anyone with an NFORCE 1, 2, 3, 4 board will have Nvidia Nforce* ATA CONTROLLER - pick update driver and pick NO and pick Install from List then DON'T SEARCH and in the list you should see all the Nvidia items and STANDARD DUAL CHANNEL PCI IDE CONTROLLER. Choose STANDARD DUAL CHANNEL PCI IDE CONTROLLER and you should be good to go.
If it does not show in the Window then you can UNCHECK Show Compatible and then you'll see the Standard on the left choose this and that's it

Why does Battlefield 2 on my PC not work and continue to crash?
Hey, I got battlefield 2 a few years back but couldn't really play it because my internet was too slow. But a while back we upgraded our internet and now i really wanna play battlefield 2 again. But can't. The game starts up fine and connects to the internet fine as I can see what games i can join. But everytime I try to join a game in progress, the whole game battlefield 2 just completely crashes and sends me back to the desktop. Its really annoying. I like to play Fallout 3 mods.
As of now, my newest mod is Mothership Zeta, and my others are FWE, RR Companion Vault, Enclave Commander, all the DLCs, and many others.
Let me summarize what I am looking for:
In general: Aesthetic/improvement mods, army mods (EC, MS Crew, etc), companion vaults/cities/fortresses, etc.
Now here, specifically:
1) a prison mod
I recently led an attack on the slavers at the Lincoln Memorial using my EC troopers, and ordered to capture stragglers. And so it was.
Yet-- after the survivors were captured and kneeling helplessly before, I thought about what i would do with them. What *could* I do with them? There wasn't really any place that I could place the prison marker for the mod that was adequate. Dismayed, I just ended up executing all of them.
I am looking for a mod that allows me to own and operate a prison for such prisoners of war. Sure, I could just do as I did, but where's the fun in that? And secondly, it doesn't really fit my good, yet also commander of the wastes character.
2) I am looking for a mod like RR Companion Vault, a sort of safe city where I can send my companions. I use Sharing and Caring Companions to recruit everyone that I feel is important, and then bring them to the Vault-- then again, the vault is more of a militarian place, not civilian-friendly, and is maybe just a little too bland.
3) Any mods that add lots and lots and LOTS of hostiles to the wasteland, primarily, say, super mutants, Enclave, and zombies/ghouls. I know about Zombie Apocalypse, I just wish there was a mod more like Oblivion's 28 Days and a Bit (3, maybe they made version 4 by now). I also would like any mod that "destroys" ANY city/town at one's discretion (without any karma impacts, nor with people dying if they were supposed to be in the town, such as if I recruit Lucas Simms, and Megaton blows up, well, suddenly he dies, because it's supposed to be a part of his script to do so). This point ties into my reasoning for wanting something like #2; infection/radiation mods are welcome.
4) A training ground. There is something like this in the RR Companion Vault, which allows to select the difficulty of the combat (ie what kind of enemies, although this is random, as well as amount) and also lets you set a particular "battlefield" (there were three: lots of sandbags everywhere, a maze-ish environment, and my personal favorite, the urban environment). I was hoping that there would be an expansive urban place that I could go to, where there would be a very big army of enemies (such as mercs/enclave). I could be given intelligence on the area (such as the time that a convoy/etc would come through a particular street), and all the details necessary to help me set up traps (ie laying mines on said routes) and sniping people, sneaking into encampments, etc). I enjoy, quite well, the whole "stealth aspect" when fighting larger forces.
5) Any mods you may recommend that you like. While I am looking for mods that fit one of the above criteria, I doubt such mods exist. So please, recommend away.
I do NOT want to hear about nude mods, pajama-armor mods that look like they belong in a sexual sadomasochist's closet, and etc. Basically, I don't want porno in my game. I just want good mods.Are there any Fallout 3 mods like *THESE* (see descr)?
It sounds to me like it's time u learned to make your own mods. It's not that hard. U can make almost any item u could ever want in a modelling programme like "Blender" and then insert it into the Fallout game with various tools.
I don't mod Fallout, but I have modded Oblivion extensively. And the modding process for both games is nearly identical since they use the same game engine and they are made by the same developers.
There are modding sites for Fallout, just as there are for Oblivion.

11) No nukes
12) Helicopters, not just chopper gunner

Battlefield 2 installation problems?
I'm trying to install Battlefield 2 on Windows 7. When the installation gets to /mods/bf2/levels/Dragon_Valley/Client.zi鈥?the installer doesn't respond and It says "Restart from the beginning." I've tried running the setup in compatibility mode with Windows XP and it doesn't work. WHAT SHOULD I DO????!?!??!?!?Battlefield 2 installation problems?
