i didn't really see a description of it on it's website. i want to play call of duty and battlefield 1942 on there. does gamespy offer more maps and mods? or is it just more servers or both? also with the $10 a month you pay are you just paying for the servers? or can you just download that game to play online?Can anyone help me with some info about gamespy?
Gamespy, lovingly known by gamers by a variety of names, Lamespy, Gayspy, F*#king Stupid piece of Sh~t, etc...
It is just servers, they run games, badly, causing a whole host of connection issues, lag, and downright shoddy service.
You get ur maps from other sites.. I don't play CoD or Battlefield but found these in a quick search

The $10 a month? Really thats bad... Maybe you'll get a better service than Dawn of War then, that's free! Is it a rolling story? Or do they release new levels/stories each month? Mayby thats why you pay?
