I just finished installing it and this error come up.

It could be that the mod requires a certain patch to be installed for the main game.
Or maybe the shortcut is not correct, like if you installed BF2 to a different directory than default. Right click on it and check properties "Start in" is the same as your normal BF2 one and "Target" has the right path.
