Battlefield 2 doesn't start up?

Whenever I start the game, before the intro, it crashes to desktop. Why? I think it may be due to I just installed this new mod and it may have affected the game. What sould I do now?Battlefield 2 doesn't start up?
Try deleting the video.con files in My documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default and 0001 0002 etc

If the game still wont start you may have to reinstall the game, but if you know your email/username and password you can try deleting the whole Battlefiled 2 folder in My Documents which will reset all the game settings. You can then retrieve by going to manage accounts, retrieve account.
